Imen Makhlouf

Imen Makhlouf is a senior civil engineer from Tunisia. She has 20 years’ experience in transport and energy infrastructure projects engineering and execution. She has significant experience in the engineering design and management of infrastructure projects, including urban infrastructures, interchanges, rural roads, bridges, drainage, sewage, and energy facilities.  In addition to Tunisia, Makhlouf has experience working across Africa, in Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, Gabon, and the Comoros island.

Makhlouf is active with international and national organizations, including the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists (INWES), PIARC world road association, the LAC/MENA Mentorship program of Global Women Network in Energy Transition and the Tunisian Engineering Organization, among others. As an advocate for gender equality and empowerment of women, she has participated as a speaker in international conferences for INWES, PIARC, and IEEE.
